Cody has 7 years of professional experience in Hawai‘i, and specializes in Disaster Management and Community-Based Resiliency Planning. He prepares environmental impact documents, applications for various land use permits, master plans, design guidelines and technical assessments of climate change factors. Cody excels in presenting technical data in clear, understandable language for decision-makers. He is certified through FEMA with Community Planning for Disaster Recovery, Volcano Crisis Awareness, and Decision Making. He has also trained with the American Red Cross in Disaster Assessment and Sheltering Services and is a board member of the Hawai‘i Wildfire Management Organization. Prior to joining G70, Cody worked on coastal hazard adaptation research and training programs at the National Disaster Preparedness Training Center (NDPTC).
