Clearway Kawailoa is a 47.6MW solar farm located adjacent to the Kawailoa Wind Farm on the north shore of O‘ahu. This facility utilized tracker-type racking systems and included electrical switchyards that tie into two existing HECO substations within a 290-acre fenced area. This project uses more than 500,000 solar panels to generate enough power for 14,300 homes annually. G70 provided land use planning, environmental permits, site planning, civil engineering, assisted with RFP preparation; and worked with the EPC contractor to optimize the design during construction.
