HONOLULU – G70, an interdisciplinary design firm announced the addition of Mark Tagawa, AIA, NCARB, NCIDQ, LEED AP, as an Architecture Principal to the firm’s management.
Returning to Hawaiʻi after practicing in Southern California at some of the nation’s top design firms, Tagawa’s diverse cadre of expertise includes healthcare, higher education, corporate interiors, and multifamily residential projects. His portfolio embraces risk-taking with appropriateness and seeks clarity and rigor through each element of design. His work includes the award-winning University of Hawaiʻi West Oʻahu Administration and Health Sciences Building; UCLA’s Neuropsychiatric Replacement Hospital; City of Hope’s Orange County Hospital; Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center Expansion; LA Lakers Training Facility; and the Weingart Center’s Permanent Supportive Housing Facility. In addition to work completed domestically in the United States, his portfolio encompasses projects in both Asia and the Middle East.
Tagawa’s Architectural and Interior Design work has received numerous awards and has been recognized in publications domestically and internationally. With his ability to bridge the gap between client vision and the built environment, he brings a broad portfolio of leading projects across varying building typologies. Born and raised in Honolulu, Tagawa is a graduate of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa School of Architecture, and an alumnus of ʻIolani School.
