Three dozen Hawaii businesses and six local business leaders will be honored in six categories Thursday evening at PBN’s annual Business Leadership Hawaii gala at the Sheraton Waikiki.
One executive will be named the American Savings Bank Business Leader of the Year, while a local nonprofit will be the recipient of the Cades Schutte -The Cades Foundation Nonprofit Leadership award. Honors will also go to the top large and small businesses, and a leader in the tourism industry.
The sixth category — Leader in Sustainability — is new for this year and recognizes the company that best incorporates sustainable practices into their business
PBN will also recognize Allen B. Uyeda, who retired as CEO of First Insurance Company of Hawaii Ltd. earlier this year, with the 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award.
