Ross Morishige, M.Arch. ’99, Promoted to Principal at G70

Ross Morishige, M.Arch. ’99, has been promoted to principal by Hawai’i design firm G70. In this role, Morishige will provide strategic leadership, support the firm’s growth through business development and strengthen client relationships. He will also continue to oversee key projects and contribute to G70’s portfolio.

With more than 25 years of experience in design and project management, Morishige has made a significant impact since rejoining G70 in 2023 as associate principal. His recent work includes Marriott’s Maui Ocean Club and the AMB Tower at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.

“Ross has been an integral part of G70, bringing exceptional design vision and expertise to every project,” said Charles Kaneshiro, president and COO at G70. “We look forward to seeing him further enhance our leadership team and advance meaningful work for our clients and community.”

Morishige founded RM Architects LLC in 2020, where he specialized in boutique hospitality and retail projects, including various Starbucks and Jamba locations and Fendi at the Royal Hawaiian Center. From 2005 to 2019, he served as senior project architect at G70 where he was involved with the management of hospitality projects that enhanced retail, dining and overall guest experiences, including the Hilton Hawaiian Village Master Plan, Marriott Vacation Club and the Four Seasons Resort O’ahu. Earlier in his career, he gained experience at Gensler and Moore Ruble Yudell in California, contributing to projects such as the MIT Sloan School of Management, Dartmouth College North Campus Master Plan, Camana Bay Town Center and Master Plan in Grand Cayman and the award-winning Robert E. Coyle United States Courthouse in Fresno, California.

He holds a master of architecture degree from UCLA and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Morishige is a licensed architect in Hawai’i and California and a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
