The Westin Maui Resort & Spa repositioned the property as Kā‘anapali’s most elevated resort. This renovation included an additional 11 keys in the design reconfiguration of the upgraded Beach Tower’s 217 guestrooms & suites. The extensive refresh of the resort’s public areas included a new entry experience from the entry sign, driveway and new parking garage pattern language to the expanded covered porte-cochère, Lobby and new water feature deck which enhanced the guest circulation and arrival experience. The project included extending the lower level Ocean tower guest lanais overlooking the new Adult Pool spas and refreshed Pool, pool bar and outdoor lounge areas with custom designed “nest cabanas” and landscaping. The new improvements provided accessible access from the Ocean tower to the newly created Adult spa and deck area by replacing the underutilized rock outcropping. An expanded retail area with a new hula mound and cultural activity area enhances the guest experience to the beach.
