Wai‘anae, O‘ahu

Kaupuni village is envisioned as a net zero energy community, applying the sustainable design strategies of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. The design attained LEED Platinum status in 2012 and includes ultra energy efficient appliance and lighting packages and a residential energy dash board to measure and manage energy production and utilization. These affordable homes are constructed with recycled materials ranging from Gypsum products, cementitious siding and interior finishes such as carpet and counter tops.
