DHHL Ka’u Water Master Plan

Ka’u, Hawai’i

State of Hawai’i is seeking to identify opportunities and constraints for regional groundwater development for its landholdings in Ka'u in order to better serve homestead, pastoral and agricultural leases issued by the State. Area of focus includes Department of Hawaiian Home Land (DHHL) homesteads on the Kalae parcel, TMK (3) 9-3-01:02, and the Waiohinu parcel, TMK (3) 9-5-05:02. This assessment is to determine available options for source development, transmission and storage, including establishment of a development phasing plan for both short-term and long-term development.
