As a master planner and urban designer, Rene uses design to create communities. She strives to develop visionary yet realistic solutions for her projects and has extensive experience in large-scale communities, housing, commercial centers, transit-oriented districts, and university campus projects. Rene’s work encompasses all phases of master planning, from initial site analysis and feasibility studies to program development, concept alternatives, master plans, and design guidelines. Her strategic design approach, based on a strong understanding of the physical, regulatory, and cultural context, adds immense value to her clients’ development projects. It is through such collaborations that she is able to pursue her passion for developing engaging communities, spaces, and environments that positively impact Hawaiʻi families.
