G70 is proud to announce the promotion of Rene Matsumura, AIA to Associate Principal. Matsumura’s work which focuses on master planning and urban design, encompasses a diverse range of project types including campuses, student housing, resort residential developments, urban revitalization, mixed-use communities and Transit Oriented Developments. Matsumura’s training as an architect allows her to connect buildings to both built and natural environments, with visionary planning and urban design at varying scales across a range of contexts. The ability to visualize the design of large-scale projects and her strategic approach to development brought value to Matsumura’s work for Kamehameha Schools’ Kaka’ako and Kapalama Master Plans and D. R. Horton’s Ho’opili. Opportunities to work with G70’s clients on projects of such impact provide a platform for her passion to develop engaging communities, spaces, and environments, for Hawai’i families.
