The Hawai'i State Art Museum (HISAM) had the opportunity to transform the No. 1 Capitol District Building courtyard, a nonaccessible, costly to maintain space into a sculpture garden. G70 re-conceptualized this space to provide venues that showcase Hawaii's artists with an environment of discovery, stimulating to the senses and gathering spaces for school tours, lunch and events while working with State Historic Preservation department to keep and provide a remembrance of the Pool and the historic tile. This project was the final phase of the No. 1 Capitol District Building Master Plan.
