HONOLULU – Hawai‘i design firm G70 has announced the hiring of Ana Ruiz, Rainer Kiessling, Monique Frazier and Olivia Destacamento to the firm.
Ana Ruiz joins G70’s architectural department as a project architect. She will work closely with project managers to coordinate the production of construction drawings and detailing to achieve project objectives.
Ruiz brings over nine years of expertise in architectural design and project management to G70. Previously a senior architect and project manager at White Space Architects, she specialized in project management for educational, commercial and residential projects, including DOE locker-room facilities, private school libraries and single-family dwellings. Notable projects showcasing her commitment to innovative, functional design include the Manoa and North Shore residences and the Punahou Academy Learning Commons. She holds a Doctorate in Architecture from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa and is licensed to practice architecture in Hawai‘i, Texas and New Mexico.
Rainer Kiessling joins G70’s architectural department as a designer. He will support the review and preparation of working drawings, coordinate with architect and engineer consultants and synthesize design information into clear and coherent presentations for clients.
Before joining G70, Kiessling gained experience as a practicum student with the firm and interned with Raymond L. Cote III, where he assisted with modifying drawings, creating 3D models, and rendering existing and proposed designs through various software platforms. He holds a Doctor of Architecture from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.
Monique Frazier joins G70’s planning department as a planner. She will oversee the interpretation and compliance of local and federal regulatory requirements for projects, coordinate project schedules and assist with team and client meetings as a sub-consultant.
Frazier is expected to complete her master’s degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa in December 2024. She is an active member of the American Planning Association (APA) and holds a FEMA certificate in Nature-Based Solutions for Mitigating Hazards.
Olivia Destacamento joins G70’s administration department as a receptionist. In this role, she will welcome visitors, manage inquiries and perform administrative tasks to ensure smooth office operations.
Destacamento previously served as an administrative assistant in the construction industry, where she managed front desk operations, coordinated meetings and travel and maintained critical project documents. She also facilitated communication between offices in Hawai‘i and California, supported subcontractor outreach and assisted with employee onboarding.
