Architecture and planning firm G70 has installed the first commercial unit of a face temperature scanner in Hawaii in the lobby of its Downtown Honolulu office to allow contact-free temperature checks during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The scanner’s eight-inch display reads and displays a person’s temperature instantly in Fahrenheit or Celsius, allowing for a contact-free temperature check of an employee or guest in less than three seconds. the office, which could be of assistance should contact tracing be necessary.

Kaneshiro, who has been one of the few people to work in the G70 office during the pandemic while the rest of the firm works from home, said G70 is initiating other new protocols for people to return to the office, including physical spacing, work schedules and enhanced sanitation schedules.
