Ten teams of local architects, builders and allied design and engineering professionals are “canstructing” fanciful giant structures made up entirely of cans of food in the 10th annual Canstruction competition at Pearlridge Center.
Members of the public are invited to participate by voting for their favorite canned-food structures by visiting the shopping mall — you get one vote per canned food donation for the Hawaii Foodbank during the two-week exhibition.
“Decanstruction” of the structures will take place on Sunday, Oct. 18, after which all of the cans of food will be donated to the Hawaii Foodbank.
